I had to run and get my camera in a fit of excitement to get this photo. Sam had a photo of the first time he pulled up in his crib, and I've been waiting and waiting for Ash. As of three weeks ago, Asher was still army crawling, still dragging his right leg. He would pull up to his knees at times. Suddenly, one day, he decided to pull up in his crib. Then he pulled up in his pack n' play, at the couch, and at his music table.... Asher is also crawling on his hands and knees almost all of the time as well as cruising. As always, when Asher finally reaches a developmental milestone, he decides to throw in about five others at well. He still is Asher; he still has his sensory issues, but he continues to meet milestones. Never underestimate Asher.
About Me
- J and Y
- On Saturday, January 16, at 2:00 PM, we had our lives forever changed when Asher and Samuel, our long prayed for and long-awaited twins, arrived at 24 weeks and 6 days gestation. The boys weighed less than 2 lbs and spent over 4 months in the hospital before coming home. Our blog began as a way to chronicle the boys birth and subsequent hospital stay, but now we hope to simply capture our journey as a family. As we travel through the adventure of each day, tackling obstacles left by prematurity, we have discovered that we can't go over, we can't go under, but we must go through those scary places... We chose to face these challenges head on as a family. We rely on the strength granted to us by our Lord to help us along our way.
